Message	The newest Duramax 6600 now has a Garrett VNT turbo as well--should help the low end even more. I drove a 2003 Silverado 2500 with a Duramax 6600 in it for 3 months. Great torque and acceleration, but I still got slightely over 19mpg (which is very good for a diesel truck). I also towed a 6 ton excavator (+trailer=somewhat overweight) over 100 miles each way to a job last summer. The truck performed flawlessly and towed it with ease.
